Yesterday I was working on my monthly bills and realized I was more than a thousand dollars short and starting worrying about how I was going to cover it. Then I sit down to figure out the year-at-a-glance overview of upcoming medical expenses and seeing that what I was going to need to pay amounted to almost as much as I make in a year of take-home pay at my day job. All of a sudden that thousand-dollar monthly shortage was not such a big deal!
And then I got the really good news that I was going to be able to get insurance to cover much of those bills and that would decrease the medical bills by one-third of my first estimation. All of the thought of an additional six thousand dollars of expenses seemed trivial and then it occurred to me that just hours earlier a thousand-dollar deficit was causing me so much worry.
Perception is a funny thing indeed!
